The Riverside County Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force (RCAHT) was formed in 2010 due to the increasing number of victims of sex and labor trafficking. These victims were discovered by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department while out on routine calls. Operation SafeHouse was then invited to partner with the Sheriff’s Department due to the numerous victims who were in need of services once the “rescue” took place.
The task force addresses the crime of human trafficking with a multi-agency law enforcement response, using the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Operation SafeHouse, and Million Kids. Other partners include the Riverside Area Rape Crisis Center, Alternatives to Domestic Violence, Inland Counties Legal Services, local law enforcement,  several faith based organizations, and partnering County Agencies.
